Special Edition – Niner Nation Remembers

Message from Chancellor Gaber
Dear Niner Nation,
Today marks six years since April 30, 2019 — a day that profoundly shaped our University.
We honor the lives of Reed Parlier and Riley Howell, and we recognize the strength of the survivors and all who were impacted by the events of that day. For many in our community, its effects are still deeply felt.
Each year, this day offers us a chance to reflect. We remember what we lost, but we also remember how our campus responded that day and in the days and years that have followed — with resolve, compassion and a lasting commitment to honoring Reed and Riley.
Whether you were here in 2019 or have become part of Niner Nation since, I hope you will take a moment today to reflect, remember and reaffirm the strength that continues to define this community.
Sincerely,

Sharon L. Gaber
Chancellor
