$24.9 Million Gift Expands Charlotte’s Transformative Levine Scholars Program

With a new gift of $24.9 million, The Leon Levine Foundation is expanding its enduring support for the Levine Scholars Program, UNC Charlotte’s signature merit-based scholarship that attracts top-tier high school students from across the country.

  • Last Call: Monday, May 5, is the deadline to submit a photo of you in (or with) your cap and gown. You could be featured in this year’s commencement pre-show for your friends and family in attendance.

  • Coach of the Year: Ryan Cabbage, head coach of the Charlotte 49ers men’s golf team, is the 2025 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. This is his third Coach of the Year award; he was recognized by the A-10 in 2013 and C-USA in 2022.
  • AI Helpful Tips: It’s important to understand the various accessibility features available to the campus community. Two features that often get confused are Zoom Live Transcription and Zoom Closed Captioning. Learn about some key differences.

Forever a Niner

Today is the last day for spring graduates to register for Forever a Niner, a new drop-in commencement event, which will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 8, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340. Alumni communities, including the Black Alumni Chapter, Legacy Alumni Network, GOLD Alumni Network, Latinx/a/o Alumni Network, LGBTQIA+ Alumni Network and Niner Varsity Club, will be at the event to help celebrate all graduates.

Niner Nation Gives Celebration

UNC Charlotte set a record during the 10th anniversary of Niner Nation Gives, raising more than $4.9 million during the 49-hour giving campaign. Alumni, students, faculty, staff, families and friends made more than 6,600 gifts during the April 8-10 event, making it the most successful Niner Nation Gives in University history.
