- Training Reminder: The new mandatory Purchasing Card Program training was assigned to all University P-card account holders April 9. Account holders have until Thursday, May 15, to complete the required training, which can be accessed through the learning and development portal.

- ETHEL Undergraduate Research: Five articles constitute the first edition of the University’s new undergraduate research journal, ETHEL. Read these works and listen to the first three episodes of ETHEL’s podcast series on the journal’s website.
- Writing Retreat: Register for a two-day faculty writing retreat, hosted by urbanCORE and the Writing Resources Center, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 20–21, at the Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City.
- Call for Faculty Reviewers: The STEM Communication Training Program is recruiting faculty reviewers to rate work produced by graduate students. Reviewing will take place May 27-28; a stipend will be provided. If interested, contact Elise Demeter.
- International Education Award: Denise Medeiros, associate director of the International Student and Scholar Office, received the 2025 North Carolina Association of International Educators Martha Fitch Trigonis Award in recognition of her 30-year commitment to international education.

During the five Spring Commencement ceremonies — Thursday, May 8, through Saturday, May 10 — UNC Charlotte will confer nearly 6,000 degrees and certificates — at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Graduates, who represent 24 countries, 43 states and 82 North Carolina counties, range in age from 19 to 68.

A trio of transfer Charlotte lacrosse players — Gianna Cutaia, Kylie Gioia and Isa Torres — were named first-team all-AAC in the program’s inaugural season. Amira Badawi, a graduate transfer, and first-year undergraduate Ni Xi also were selected for the women’s tennis All-Conference team.
