Four UNC Charlotte women recognized by Charlotte Business Journal

Amy Wartham, director of corporate training at UNC Charlotte, and alumnae Sallie Jarosz ’82, Cristi Lewis ’96 and Angelica Srivoraphan ’10 were among the individuals honored at this year’s Charlotte Business Journal (CBJ) Women in Business Awards event held Tuesday, Feb. 24.

This annual awards program, now in its 24th year, honors 25 outstanding businesswomen from the region who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities in the past year.

In her role at UNC Charlotte, Wartham works with some of Charlotte’s largest organizations assessing and managing their specific workforce training needs. With 28 years of experience in adult learning and corporate training, Wartham has mastered the ability of establishing and building positive relationships with corporate clients and all levels of management, through her excellent communication skills along with successful negotiations, presentations, effective training methodologies and written communications. She completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Winthrop University.

Jarosz is the commercial real estate manager for NewDominion Bank, where she spearheads commercial real estate financing and brand building for the western North Carolina region. Jarosz’s specialties include church lending, commercial real estate construction loans, investment real estate, lines of credit and owner-occupied real estate. She completed a bachelor’s degree in English from UNC Charlotte.

Lewis is an audit partner for CohnReznick and a member of the firm’s Construction Industry Practice. She has more than 15 years of public accounting experience encompassing financial statement audits, accounting, business consulting, agreed upon procedures engagements, regulatory compliance and benefit plan audits. Lewis completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UNC Charlotte.

Srivoraphan is director of business operations and development for Cloverhound. She has more than 10 years of experience in business development and marketing within large enterprise and tech startup environments. Srivoraphan’s current role includes operations, project management, business development and marketing. She completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing from UNC Charlotte.
