FACULTY & STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The Center for Wellness Promotion is hosting a virtual Green Dot Training from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25. Registration is required through the Learning and Development Portal.
- The Benefits Office will host a virtual open enrollment information session at 9 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13.
- The Novant Health Breast Center mobile unit will be on campus from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center North Lot.
- The Division of Institutional Integrity’s Annual Legal Symposium is from 8:15 a.m. to 3:50 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Please RSVP to attend this event that includes interesting and timely legal topics for faculty and staff.
- UNC Charlotte is one of four regional hubs for NCInnovation, a nonprofit that aims to commercialize university research.
- Fall Commencement ceremonies will be held Friday, Dec. 15, and Saturday, Dec. 16.
STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Question, Persuade, Refer is a 90-minute suicide prevention training that teaches individuals to recognize the warning signs of suicide, including verbal, behavioral and situational clues. The next QPR training is from 3:30 to 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12.
- Activate! is a semester-long, institute focusing on social justice, equity and activism and is open to all undergraduate students. Applications for the spring semester are open through Wednesday, Nov. 15.
- UNC Charlotte is one of four regional hubs for NCInnovation, a nonprofit that aims to commercialize university research.
- The mission of the Office of Student Assistance and Support Services is to assist, support and advocate for students experiencing a broad range of issues interfering with a student’s ability to be successful. Watch for common questions that can be answered by the SASS office on posters and digital screens across campus.
