First Giving Green raffle set for Oct. 10
The 2013 Giving Green Campaign is off to a strong start, and the Giving Green incentive raffles are a way to keep that momentum going.
The first Giving Green raffle will be Thursday, Oct. 10. Throughout the day, University employees can win a prize if they make a contribution to any or all of the Giving Green beneficiaries – Arts & Science Council, State Employees Combined Campaign or the UNC Charlotte Foundation.
Drawings will be held between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Thursday, with prizes awarded during eight time periods. There are prizes associated with each time frame. For the Oct. 10 raffle, the prizes are:
- 8 to 9 a.m. – One Certificate for Free Bagels for a Year Compliments of Panera Bread ($155.88 Value)
- 9 to 10 a.m. – $50 Gift Card to 131 Main ($50 Value)
- 10 to 11 a.m. – Mac’s Speed Shop Gift Basket ($50 Value)
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Free Restricted Parking (Gate Card) for One Year ($150 Value)

- 3 to 4 p.m. – Amelie’s Bakery Gift Basket ($60 Value)
- 4 to 5 p.m. – $50 Gift Card to Dressler’s ($50 Value)
Faculty or staff who have made a gift to the ASC, SECC or the UNC Charlotte Foundation can still enter to win by returning to the Giving Green website and adding to their donation.
More raffles will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, and Monday, Oct. 21.
The Giving Green Campaign is a voluntary effort, but a high percentage of participation by faculty and staff members can create a positive impression in the greater community, said organizers. Each and every gift, no matter the amount, will support the work of the ASC, SECC and UNC Charlotte Foundation.
