- Learn to give students positive feedback using a new feature in CONNECT, along with other important updates in this week’s Academic Affairs Weekly News Digest.
- Crown Commons will undergo a major renovation beginning Saturday, April 1, to provide guests with high-quality dining facilities, upgraded food stations and additional seating space. As a result, retail dining service at Upper Prospector will be converted temporarily to all-you-care-to-eat dining. Faculty and staff may pay the door rate to enjoy dining in Upper Prospector.
- Faculty members interested in developing a faculty-led study abroad program are encouraged to attend one of the International Programs Office workshops. The Wednesday, March 8, virtual workshop is for new faculty, and the Wednesday, March 15, session is for returning faculty.
- The UNC Charlotte Women + Girls Research Alliance is accepting Women’s History Month submissions to honor UNC Charlotte students, employees, staff, alumni and Charlotte community members. These tributes can be to any women in your lives, on campus, in our community or any other influential women you would like to acknowledge. Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22.

- Join Atkins Library for “The Black Read” Wednesday, Feb. 22. Passages from Black Literature, speeches and correspondences will be read, followed by a discussion facilitated by Janaka Lewis, associate professor of English.
- UNC Charlotte students can apply for Global Gateways, an on-campus residential program where students from diverse backgrounds live together to learn and appreciate differences and other cultures.

Change Please Coffee opened its first U.S. location at UNC Charlotte. The company, which is dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness and housing insecurities, is now set to open its first of three Queen City locations.
