Charlotte 49ers release 2020 football schedule
Coming off of a historic 2019 bowl season, the Charlotte 49ers have released their 12-game 2020 football schedule, which includes six contests against 2019-20 bowl teams.

Alumna is backstage on Broadway
There are many players working behind the scenes of a Broadway production to ensure the audience sees a good show. Allie Dillard ’08, a graduate of the College of Arts + Architecture, is one of those players. She is using her wardrobe talents to make sure cast members look their best.

Spring Gold Rush events welcome new, returning students to campus
Gold Rush is UNC Charlotte’s welcome program that takes place at the beginning of each semester. Events are hosted by campus departments and student organizations and are scheduled during the first few weeks of classes to instill a sense of Niner pride, teach campus traditions (such as the “49 Things To Do Before You Graduate”) and expose students to campus resources and opportunities for involvement.Spring Gold Rush events run through Sunday, Feb. 2.

Botanical Gardens classes/workshops scheduled
UNC Charlotte’s Botanical Gardens is starting 2020 with a number of classes and workshops. They include “Grow Your Own Microgreens at Home” on Saturday, Jan. 11; “Botanical Macrophotography with Your Smartphone” on Sunday, Jan. 19; and the two-day offering, “Basic Botany” on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25-26.
