Annual Family Weekend scheduled
The Office of Parent and Family Services anticipates a large contingent of Niner Nation members at the annual Family Weekend, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27.
Registration for the event has been successful with the three family packages offered sold out; however, Kesha Williams, assistant director for parent and family services, noted tickets are still available for select activities.
“Family Weekend gives parents and family members a better understanding of the UNC Charlotte environment, and it is an opportunity for them to spend valuable time with their student as they are experiencing college. It’s so wonderful to meet and see all the parents and family members, and how excited they are to be back on-campus,” said Williams.
Event opportunities still available include:
- Union Takeover “Vegas Night” from 7 to 11 p.m., Sept. 26, Student Union, which includes:
- Comedian Jeff Dye, 8 p.m., Student Union Multipurpose Room, $5 per person
- Magician John Bishop, 9:30 p.m., Student Union Multipurpose Room , $5 per person
- Men’s Soccer vs. New Mexico, 7 p.m., Sept. 26, Transamerica Field, $5 for adults, $2 for youth
