UNC Charlotte Dance Department to present Fall Concert

The UNC Charlotte Department of Dance will feature student ensembles in an exciting program of diverse dance styles for its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Robinson Hall for the Performing Arts, Belk Theater. A 2 p.m. matinee will be on Sunday, Nov. 23.
Beginning with a famous 19th-century ballet divertissement and ending with an African-based work, the program also includes contemporary choreography by UNC Charlotte professors E.E. Balcos and Delia Neil, set to music by the Beatles, Bach and Yo-Yo Ma, as well as Martha Graham’ s dramatic 1936 piece “Steps in the Street.”
Tickets are $14 for general admission, $9 for seniors and UNC Charlotte faculty and staff, and $6 for all students and can be purchased at the Robinson Hall Box Office, in person or by calling 704-687-1849, or online.
