Mathematical Finance program ranked No. 20 by Financial Engineer
UNC Charlotte’s Master of Science in Mathematical Finance program ranked No. 20 in the 2016 Master of Financial Engineering Program Rankings.
This is the third national ranking for the Mathematical Finance program, which is an improvement from last year’s ranking at No. 25. The rankings are calculated based on a series of factors, including average GRE scores, starting salaries and bonuses, undergraduate GPA, acceptance rates and the number of employed graduates.
“Recognition of our Mathematical Finance master’s program as one of the top programs in the nation demonstrates the success and competitiveness of the program we have built in partnership with the region’s leading corporations,” said Steve Ott, dean of the Belk College of Business. “This continued success is thanks to the program’s faculty, students, staff and alumni whose commitments to excellence truly sets our program apart.”
UNC Charlotte’s Mathematical Finance program was developed in collaboration between the Departments of Finance and Economics in the Belk College of Business and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. Located in the second largest financial center in the country, the program is designed to prepare students with the quantitative skills to pursue careers in finance.
