Spring Plant Sale scheduled, Botanical Gardens to hold info sessions

The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 15-16, at the McMillan Greenhouse.

Prior to the public sale, on Thursday, April 14, join Paula Gross, assistant director for the Botanical Gardens, for “Tips and Best Bets for the Novice Gardener.” Two offerings of this free information session will be presented at 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. in the McMillan Greenhouse Classroom. Prospective attendees should register online.

During the sale, Botanical Gardens staff members will be available to answer questions and assist with suggestions for plantings. Attendees can expect one of the best selection of native plants in the region, as well as exotic botanicals, at this largest sale of the year for the Botanical Gardens. Proceeds support gardens and greenhouse operations.

Botanical Gardens members and the entire campus community can participate in the pre-sale from noon to 3 p.m., April 14.
