Register for UNC Charlotte’s Housing Affordability Symposium
UNC Charlotte Campus Compact will host a conversation about housing affordability in the Charlotte area on Wednesday, April 5, at UNC Charlotte Center City.
The Housing Affordability Symposium will bring together researchers; community leaders/organizers; residents and students from Charlotte’s schools, colleges and universities; local government; and community-based organizations; to address housing affordability in the city.
The symposium will feature 11 short and engaging presentations on context, intersections and solutions concerning housing affordability in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. The symposium concludes with a keynote address by Maurice Jones, CEO of Local Initiative Support Corporation.
A sequel to last year’s program “Hunger in Charlotte?” the Housing Affordability symposium is an opportunity celebrate and strengthen community partnerships, discuss the latest research on housing stability, as well as best practices and innovative approaches to housing security locally. The program will provide opportunities to develop strategies for creative collaboration with new and existing partners.
This symposium is free; however, registration is required. RSVP to attend by Thursday, March 30.
