Finalists for facilities planning director to give campus presentation
The three finalists for the position of director of facilities planning will deliver a campus presentation as part of the interview process.
Presentations will be:
- 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340G
- 2:15 p.m., Monday, Nov. 6, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center, Salon A
- 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the Cone University Center, McKnight Hall
During their 15- to 20-minute presentations, candidates will address the topic “Developing a Comprehensive Five-Year Plan.” A brief question-and-answer period will follow. Members of the campus community who attend the presentations will be asked to complete a brief survey regarding each candidate’s message as it pertained to the topic.
The director of facilities planning/campus architect is charged with planning and guiding the development of the campus in accordance with UNC Charlotte’s Master Plan. The incumbent will maintain and update the Master Plan and the University’s Design and Construction Guidelines. This position is responsible for overseeing campus design, visual appearance of buildings and grounds, site amenities and compliance with the Design and Construction Guidelines.
