Open enrollment underway through Oct. 31
UNC Charlotte employees who are eligible for benefits have until Wednesday, Oct. 31, to make selections for 2019 insurance coverage and other benefits during open enrollment.
A few highlights:
- Employee state health insurance premiums held steady for the second year in a row
- Employees enrolled in health coverage under the State Health Plan and their eligible dependents will automatically be enrolled in the 70/30 Plan. To enroll in the 80/20 Plan or cancel health coverage, employees must make that election during open enrollment
- There is one wellness credit: the tobacco attestation. Employees must complete the attestation by Oct. 31 to receive their premium credit
- For NC Flex Benefits, employees must enroll or re-enroll during open enrollment to participate in in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account (DDSA).
