Apply to speak at ‘TEDxUNCCharlotte’
UNC Charlotte will host a live TEDx event featuring speakers presenting on the theme, “The Power of You Makes it Possible.”
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to apply to speak during this exciting event—the first of its kind at UNC Charlotte. Online applications will be accepted through Friday, Jan. 11.
TEDxUNCCharlotte is an independently organized live TEDx event that will take place Friday, March 22, in Cone University Center, McKnight Hall. This inaugural event will feature live speakers and talks reflecting the wealth and knowledge of UNC Charlotte and surrounding communities.
“As North Carolina’s urban research institution, UNC Charlotte has a wealth of talent and innovation within its faculty, staff, students and community members. It’s surprising to me that UNC Charlotte has not hosted a TEDx event, so what I am most looking forward to is showcasing the dynamic ideas and engaging voices of our community members,” said event organizer Michael Maksymowski, assistant director for Leadership & Community Engagement in the Division of Student Affairs.
