NBA players empower youth at Urban Education Collaborative summit
The UNC Charlotte Urban Education Collaborative hosted NBA stars Chris Paul and Karl-Anthony Towns during All-Star weekend at an event to empower Charlotte’s African American youth. The Open Court All-Star Male Youth Summit, held at UNC Charlotte Center City, was organized by Chance Lewis, collaborative director and a professor in the Cato College of Education.
The Urban Education Collaborative is a central hub for empirically based research and other resources to improve urban schools in the state of North Carolina and the nation.
