Faculty & Friends Concert Series starts Aug. 26

The Department of Music will present Assistant Professor of Trumpet Eric Millard and pianist Erin Palmer in the first Faculty & Friends Concert of the 2019-20 season. The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 26, in the Rowe Recital Hall.

The lively program, titled “Carnaval,” will feature a wide range of music, from the Concerto in E-flat by the 19th century opera composer Vincenzo Bellini, to the Irish ballad, “’Tis the Last Rose of Summer.”

The Faculty & Friends Concert Series will continue on Monday, Sept. 9, with a program featuring Assistant Professor of Clarinet Jessica Lindsey and Monday, Sept. 16, with a performance by Anne R. Belk Distinguished Professor of Violin David Russell and guest pianists Kyle Linscheid and Eric Malson.
