Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and historian Henry Louis Gates Jr. delivered the 2019 Chancellor’s Speaker Series presentation, part of the annual UNC Charlotte Civic Series presented by Bank of America.

Johnson Alumni Way unveiled

With the Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band watching, Gene Johnson ’73 unveiled Johnson Alumni Way during Homecoming. It was only fitting that the band was there because it was a generous donation from Gene and his wife Vickie ’71 ’82 that brought the marching band to life.
