CRES piloting new reservation process

Conferences, Reservations and Event Services (CRES) is piloting a new reservation process to use large spaces more effectively and provide more availability.

Campus users may request event spaces one academic year in advance for large-scale events using the Advance Reservations Process with the exception of March and April dates for Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340, which become available on Feb. 1.

Recurring meetings may be requested one semester in advance with reservation cycles opening on Aug. 1 for the fall semester and Nov. 1 for the spring semester. Academic space may be tentatively scheduled during this time. However, prior to add/drop and census, course schedules take priority.

Departments may schedule Popp Martin Student Union meeting rooms on the second floor with no facility rental fee until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cone University Center and Barnhardt Student Activity Center meeting rooms continue to be reserved with no facility rental fee. Exceptions apply, such as additional facility rental, equipment and labor fees.

Consult Scheduling University Facilities Policy 601.6 for more details; direct questions to CRES.
