Can you tell us more about your role in Building Environmental Services and Recycling?
I serve as a senior supervisor for BES teams two, three and five. We provide cleaning and sanitizing services for several administrative and academic buildings including but not limited to the Atkins Library, Cato Hall, Fretwell, the College of Human and Health Services, Woodward Hall and the College of Education.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is the opportunities I get to engage with customers and provide quality level service. It is also rewarding for me to have a BES&R leadership team who cares and is connected to the success of the work we do and all of our staff. It is one of my greatest honors to work for UNC Charlotte.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
Overall, I have a fondness for the uniform look of the red-brick buildings throughout campus. Through the years, several places have been added to my list of favorites. The list includes Richardson Stadium, the track and field courts, the Botanical Gardens, various dining areas and the greenway path.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
I am family-oriented, and I love nature trail walks and using my gardening expertise.
