  • The Getting Started with Active Teaching and Learning online workshop provides an introduction to active learning strategies that can be used to enhance learning and engage students through collaboration with others about content and concepts presented in class.
  • Experience March Madness in Charlotte Thursday, March 21, and Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Spectrum Center! Charlotte will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament. Tickets will be available for NCAA subscribers in October — sign up here to hear about it first!
  • QPR is a 90-minute training intended to foster a community of care by teaching individuals how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, including verbal, behavioral and situational clues. The next staff/faculty training is virtual from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20.
  • The Office of International Programs invites tenured faculty to apply for the resident faculty director position at Kingston University London, in Kingston upon Thames, a Royal Borough of London. Applications are being accepted for academic years 2024-25 and 2025-26.

  • Join the Health and Wellbeing unit in an amplified experience at the second annual Wellbeing Block Party from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, in the CHHS/CoEd Plaza. Enjoy a community wellness fair, food trucks, giveaways, games and much more!
  • On Saturday, April 22, the Transition and Success Initiatives unit is holding a First-Generation Graduation Ceremony to recognize these students’ accomplishments. There will be cord distributions, keynote speakers and degree dedications.
