- Niner Nation gathered on Friday, April 28, to dedicate a permanent campus memorial to honor the two students who lost their lives, those who suffered physical injuries and everyone present in Kennedy Building 236, on April 30, 2019.
- Attend the virtual Active Learning Academy Speaker Series “Learning in Practice: What Makes it Work, and What Gets in the Way?” featuring Robert Talbert, Ph.D., professor of mathematics, Grand Valley State University, Wednesday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to noon.
STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Niner Nation gathered on Friday, April 28, to dedicate a permanent campus memorial to honor the two students who lost their lives, those who suffered physical injuries and everyone present in Kennedy Building 236, on April 30, 2019.
- Niner Finances is introducing the Rainy Day Savings Program for Pell-eligible students that are at least 18 years old, in good academic standing and enrolled in at least six credit hours for spring and fall 2023. Every student who participates in the program can earn up to $100 in incentives while saving for their futures and will have the opportunity to earn bonus incentives.
- Starting fall 2023, Barnes & Noble Charlotte will offer the Niner Course Pack as part of an affordable textbook rental program. Students will be billed $20 per credit hour for course materials unless they opt out of the program. Learn more at the Niner Course Pack webpage.
- From therapy dogs to donuts — Atkins Library has planned a number of events to help you de-stress, take a break and relax during exams.

Srijan Das and Xiang Zhang, two first-year faculty researchers in the College of Computing and Informatics, have received funding from the National Science Foundation to investigate how artificial intelligence can benefit the elderly and others in health care settings.
