Charlotte philanthropist, singer/songwriter, playwright, director, producer and arts educator Jermaine Nakia Lee has brought his passions to life for decades. Growing up in Miami, Florida, Lee was surrounded by blues, opera, folk, soul and Broadway show tunes. These influences were foundational to his vocal and song styling.

- Following two years of study, including extensive faculty and staff input, UNC Charlotte’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences will begin pursuing the path of creating two distinct colleges.
- Reminder: Learn about the extended maintenance work OneIT will complete between Friday, June 30, and Sunday, July 2.
- UNC Charlotte earned a STARS Silver rating in recognition of its sustainability achievements from the Association of Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.
- NCFlex, in partnership with the State Retirement System, State Employees Credit Union and Empower Retirement, is offering a series of free financial and retirement planning webinars for state employees.
- Save the date! University Convocation will take place Thursday, Aug. 17, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

- Tyisha Terry, associate director for wellness promotion initiatives at the Center for Wellness Promotion, wrote “Rebuilding Peer Support Through a Peer Health Education Program,” which was published on the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators website.

Kelsey Romney, Jaden Schutt and My Vuong received the inaugural Dean’s Prize for outstanding honors capstone theses/projects. The recipients, nominated by honors program directors for their exemplary research, received a $500 prize.
