FACULTY & STAFF ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Register for “Great Expectations: A Faculty Guide to Setting Syllabus Policies” workshop Tuesday, Aug. 8, along with other important updates in this week’s Academic Affairs Weekly News Digest.
• The VPN will be updated Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 6 a.m. to provide better performance for internet services like Zoom.
• Mandatory Title IX training for all University faculty and staff will go live tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 1, and employees will have 45 days to complete the training. Check your University email for more information. Email questions to the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX at civilrights-titleix@charlotte.edu.
• Susan McLennon appointed professor and director of the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing.
• Help your students be more connected to campus health and well-being resources through the Discover Your Wellness Passport Program. Staff and faculty have until tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 1, to fill out the interest form.
• Zoom will be unavailable Sunday, Aug. 6, from midnight until 7 a.m. for system maintenance.
• A new homepage experience is coming to Kronos! Updates will provide more ease of use in navigation with an enhanced look and feel.

Natasha Stracener, instructional media production manager for UNC Charlotte’s Center for Teaching and Learning, is the 2023 recipient of the Erskine B. Bowles Staff Service Award, given by the UNC Staff Assembly. She is the first UNC Charlotte employee to receive this prestigious recognition.
