- The Center for Teaching and Learning is accepting proposals for its Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Grants. Proposals should be explicitly tied to the teaching and learning goals of the University’s strategic plan; the submission deadline is 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 1.
- Ginger and the Employee Assistance Program share resources for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
- UNC Charlotte is one of the sponsors of the Second Harvest Sort-A-Rama to be held at the Charlotte Convention Center Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will assemble food boxes for Charlotte area families in need. Please direct any questions to Vicki Doolittle at vldoolittle@charlotte.edu.
- UNC Charlotte and boutique jeweler Kendra Scott are partnering for a fundraising event to benefit the Ellis Reed Parlier Scholarship. From Sept. 15-30, 20% of all online proceeds will be donated to the scholarship.

- September is National Recovery Month. Check out the Center for Wellness Promotion events calendar for opportunities to learn more about the Charlotte Recovery Program.
- Emerging Leaders is a UNC Charlotte tradition that started in 1980; it offers a select group of first-year, first-time students the opportunity to develop leadership skills while making friends and having a great time. Applications close Saturday, Sept. 30.
