- Alumni-owned restaurants, pubs and coffee shops across the city are celebrating Niner Nation Week with incredible and delicious specialty items and deals through Sunday, Oct. 15.
- Open enrollment for the 2024 plan year is underway through Friday, Oct. 27. Benefits-eligible employees received an email with important information on Monday. See the human resources website for more details.
- Join the NC Office of State Human Resources Statewide Wellness Program at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, for a brief presentation on making movement more joyful and a cooking demonstration of protein bars.
- A 49er Mart virtual forum is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26. Registration is encouraged on the Learning and Development Portal, and more information on the discussion topics can be found on the 49er Mart message board.

- Join the Niner Nation Week Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win incredible prizes including UNC Charlotte gear and $300 worth of Niner-owned business gift cards!
- The First Gen Niners support group is a welcoming space for first-generation college students to discuss various aspects of navigating academics, family and life at UNC Charlotte with others who “get it.” The group meets monthly from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Price Center for Counseling and Psychological Services; the next meeting is Thursday, Oct. 19.
- The Office of Identity, Equity and Engagement is holding identity and intersectionality training from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, in Popp Martin Student Union, Room 265.
- The talk, “Antisemitism and the Origins of Critical Theory,” and the presentation of a rare copy of Max Horkheimer and Theodor W. Adorno’s “Philosophical Fragments” will be at 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12, in Atkins Library. The Department of Philosophy is co-sponsoring this event.
