STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The campus community is invited to the open forum for the second finalist for the associate vice chancellor for student affairs and dean of students from 11 a.m. to noon, Thursday, March 28, in Cone University Center, Room 208. Candidate resumes and evaluation forms are available on the student affairs website.
  • April 1-5 is Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. A series of exclusive events to honor your invaluable contributions, dedication and impact are scheduled. Reserve your spot now and celebrate a week dedicated to you.
  • The 49er Family Fund annually allocates grants to campus initiatives related to student life at UNC Charlotte that are not funded through existing accounts. Proposals for the 2024-25 academic year must be submitted by 5 p.m., Monday, April 1.
  • A new professional advisor model will be in place for 2024-25 academic year.

ATTEND AN UPCOMING EVENT

  • Need help navigating your off-campus housing search? Attend the Zoom webinar “On the Flip Side: The Legal, Financial and Practical Implications of Living Off Campus” at 5 p.m., today, Thursday, March 28. Advance registration is required for the webinar hosted by Niner Finances, Student Legal Services, Financial Aid Office and Off-Campus Student Services.
  • Join the Center for Wellness Promotion and the Charlotte Recovery Program for Recovery by the Slice from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, in front of Holshouser Hall. This is an informal event for students, faculty, staff and allies to learn more about the program while enjoying a slice of pizza.
  • This year’s Earth Day Festival is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in Belk Plaza Local organizations, campus departments and student groups will share information about their work on campus and in the greater Charlotte community and ways to get involved.
  • Attend the hybrid International Career Panel from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room, and Zoom to gain valuable insight into a career in the international sector.
  • The final career fair of the semester is from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, April 12, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. The Education Fair is open to all majors. Drop by the Career Center for assistance with your resume and to get networking tips.
  • The 2024 W+GRA Women’s Summit will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City.
