Belk Plaza construction to begin
Beginning Monday, Feb. 12, the perimeter of Belk Plaza will be fenced off as renovations to this area commence. A section of sidewalk will be closed between the plaza and the east side of the Atkins Library; pedestrians will be rerouted around the plaza perimeter. Work to transform Belk Plaza is expected to continue through Tuesday, June 12.

Temporary closing of Institute Circle Jan. 26-27
The westbound right lane of Institute Circle will be closed through 4:30 p.m., today, and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, for excavation work associated with the LYNX Blue Light Rail extension.
Expect traffic congestion in this part of campus; to leave campus, consider alternate locations, including the J.W. Clay Blvd. exit.
North Tryon construction to affect traffic around Institute Circle
Construction crews have closed the right lane of northbound traffic along North Tryon Street just before Institute Circle to Barton Creek Drive.
This lane closure is expected to be in place weekdays through Jan. 31, except for peak traffic times (4:30 to 6:30 p.m.). It may be in effect around the clock on the weekend.
Members of the campus community who use entrances to campus off North Tryon Street should remain alert and exercise caution during this, and all, construction projects.
Temporary lane closure scheduled along Cameron Boulevard
A temporary closure of the eastbound lane of Cameron Boulevard in front of Wallis Hall is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Jan. 26.
Workers will complete asphalt patching along the new concrete curb and the bus pull-off. Flaggers will direct traffic in the work area to maintain two-way travel.
Exercise caution when approaching construction zones; expect construction personnel and equipment.
Paving repairs to close parts of Phillips Road
Paving repairs along Phillips Road are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 15, starting at 11 a.m. Expect traffic delays and heavy construction equipment and workers in the area.
The Niner Transit Silver Line will not make stops on the CRI portion of campus between noon and 5 p.m.; buses will stop at the gate 1 loop at Richardson Stadium.
Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Phillips Road will be one lane with flaggers on each side to direct traffic. Afterward, until 4 p.m., there will be a detour through Parking Lot 23.
Temporary lane closure scheduled near Wallis Hall
On Monday, Jan. 15 (weather permitting), a temporary closure will affect the eastbound lane of Cameron Boulevard in front of Wallis Hall. Workers will be patching asphalt.
Flaggers will maintain two-way traffic using a single lane between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Exercise caution when approaching construction zones.
Finalists for facilities planning director to give campus presentation
The three finalists for the position of director of facilities planning will deliver a campus presentation as part of the interview process.

Traffic interruption expected at Union Deck
Between 6 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13, through 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, traffic flow to the Union Deck will be altered as workers erect a tower crane as part of the deck expansion.
Expect delays entering/exiting the deck; flaggers will be in the area to allow for movement of heavy equipment and construction personnel.

Closure of Cameron/Craver intersection scheduled
A section of Craver Road will be closed from 6 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, through 6 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10, for asphalt repairs.
The road closure, starting at the Cameron Boulevard intersection, will be to the Burson Hall Service Road; access to Parking Lot 15 will be from Mary Alexander Road.
Signage and construction barriers will be present; expect traffic delays and heavy machinery/construction personnel in the area.

Temporary lane closures scheduled along Mary Alexander Road
On Friday, Sept. 8, there will be intermittent lane closures along Mary Alexander Road between Cameron Boulevard and Cab Lane.
One lane of Mary Alexander Road will be closed at a time with only northbound traffic permitted. Traffic coming onto campus via Mary Alexander Road will be required to turn left or right on Cameron Boulevard.
Expect traffic delays, heavy machinery and construction personnel in the area as workers replace asphalt.
