Temporary closure of SAC Parking Lot scheduled
From Monday, June 17, through Friday, Aug. 1, the SAC Parking Lot will be closed for ADA improvements and paving restoration.
Construction fencing will be erected and directional signage for pedestrians posted. Expect construction traffic and noise in the vicinity. Remember to use caution when approaching construction areas.
Hibbs to retire as head baseball coach
Loren Hibbs, who has been with the Charlotte 49ers for 27 years, retired as head baseball coach, Director of Athletics Mike Hill announced June 14. Hibbs will join his alma mater, Wichita State, as assistant athletics director for baseball operations and player development. He will reunite with one of his former players and former major leaguer Eric Wedge, who was named head coach of the Shockers.

Employees honored for program completion
Recently, the Office of Research Services and Outreach held its annual reception to recognize participants of the Certificate Program in Grants and Contracts Administration. To successfully obtain credit for the program, individuals must attend eight training sessions and complete eight learning assessments and seven prerequisite classes through Learning and Organizational Development.
ODU’s Ragean Hill joining Charlotte 49ers
Ragean Hill is the Charlotte 49ers executive associate athletics director. She is coming to the University from Old Dominion University, where she served as the associate athletics director for the past four years. She also has worked at Arkansas, Kansas State and Wisconsin.

Parking Lot 26 will be unavailable from Sunday, June 16, through Friday, June 21, for lot repair and resurfacing.
Expect barricades and construction personnel in the area; remember to exercise caution when approaching construction zones.

Bolick needs shared leave
Deborah Bolick, Research and Economic Development, needs shared leave donations. The Benefits Office will accept donations through June 20.
To contribute leave, faculty and staff should refer to the requirements and participant forms in Personnel Information Memorandum (PIM) 29 or in the literature racks outside of the Benefits Office, King Building, Room 207. World Affairs Council of Charlotte recognizes Gallegos
