Halton Arena to host Ebix Charity Challenge
Professional tennis player and North Carolina native John Isner is bringing his annual Ebix Charity Challenge to UNC Charlotte’s Halton Arena on Thursday, Feb. 4. Tickets for general admission start at $35; discounted tickets for UNC Charlotte faculty and staff start at $10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the exhibition starts at 7:30 p.m.
The sixth Ebix Charity Challenge again benefits the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, which is where Isner’s mother, Karen, was successfully treated during her two battles with colon cancer. The center is considered one of the leading cancer hospitals in the nation.
The challenge will start with adult and youth tennis clinics at Olde Providence Racquet Club. Following the clinics, the challenge moves to Halton Arena, where there will be a tennis exhibition featuring Isner, Andy Roddick and brothers Bob and Mike Bryan.
