Annual ‘Race to the Beach’ contest begun
UNC Charlotte is participating in the “Race to the Beach” clean commute challenge, which is under way. The contest, cosponsored by Charlotte Area Air Awareness, CATS and Sustain Charlotte, offers incentives for individuals to discover new ways to get to work besides driving alone.
Visit RacetotheBeach.com to register for the clean commute challenge. Participants should log in their clean commutes each week of the race to be entered in weekly drawings for prizes.
Each clean commute an individual enters moves his/her map icon closer to the coast. Make it all the way to Wrightsville Beach by logging at least six clean commutes between July 13 and Aug. 23 to be entered in the grand prize drawing for a two-night stay at a beach resort.
Enter during the kickoff week and win Charlotte Knights tickets.
