Hardin among city’s top CFOs
Elizabeth Hardin, vice chancellor for business affairs, recently was named one of Charlotte’s Chief Financial Officers of the Year by the Charlotte Business Journal. She was honored in the category large nonprofit/government organization.
As UNC Charlotte’s chief financial and administrative officer, Hardin is responsible for the University’s fiscal management and audit, facilities development and operation, human resources, public safety, technical operations and planning, business continuity and auxiliary services.
A graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics, Hardin earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.
The Charlotte Business Journal solicited nominations for its CFO of the Year, which were evaluated by representatives from its partner Financial Executives International. Judges focused on nominees’ financial accomplishments, scope of responsibilities, respect and influence with their companies/organizations and a demonstrated commitment to fiscal integrity and accountability.
The Charlotte Business Journal’s Aug. 22 print edition will profile the award winners and finalists.
