UNC Charlotte junior Jalen London has been selected for the competitive Amgen Scholars program and will conduct research this summer at Harvard University.
For Winston-Salem native London — a Martin Scholar, nursing major and member of the Honors College and nursing honors program — the Amgen program will allow him to continue research he began at Harvard last summer.

An entity of Real Times Media, Who’s Who in Black Charlotte documents the positive achievements of Black Charlotteans who are making outstanding contributions to the communities and organizations they serve.
Nominations sought for honorary degrees
A highlight of commencement is the recognition of individuals for exceptional and distinctive service to the University or the greater community through the awarding of an honorary degree from UNC Charlotte. The Nominations, Honors and Awards Committee is seeking assistance in nominating persons for this honor.
