Annual Charlotte Research Scholars symposium scheduled
More than 100 undergraduate student research projects will be featured at this year’s Charlotte Research Scholars Summer Symposium, scheduled for 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 26, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Salons. This sixth annual event is free and open to the public.
UNC Charlotte’s Division of Academic Affairs, the Graduate School, the Charlotte Research Institute and the Duke Endowment Special Initiatives Fund provide support for the Charlotte Research Scholars.
The Charlotte Research Scholars Program is a summer program begun in 2012 for high-achieving undergraduate students to gain experience in research and professional development in their field of interest. These opportunities are not typically available in the undergraduate classroom. This learn-by-doing model places an emphasis on graduate education and allows the scholars to put their experiential learning into practice, preparing them to excel in their future studies and research.
