Partial closure of Parking Lot 15 scheduled
A section of Parking Lot 15 will be closed beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, May 22, through 6 p.m., Friday, June 23.
Spaces closest to Craver Road will be unavailable due to work being performed on landscape, storm water and lot improvements.
Expect construction vehicles and personnel in the area; utilize caution when approaching construction areas.

Learn more about the Internal Audit staff
Normally, the Internal Audit Department includes five employees. Currently, there are three internal auditors in the department.
Raheel Qureshi has been with the University’s Internal Audit Department since June 2013. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) with an MBA from Pace University. Prior to UNC Charlotte, Qureshi worked in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche and, more recently, at TIAA. He has served as interim chief audit officer since September 2016.

CATS energizes Blue Line Extension’s overhead electrical system
Construction crews working on the LYNX Blue Line Extension, the 9.3-mile extension to Charlotte’s current light rail system, have energized the overhead catenary system (OCS) throughout the entire alignment up to UNC Charlotte. The OCS provides electricity that powers light rail vehicles through a pantograph at the top of the vehicle. The system carries 750 volts, direct current.
Try Belk Gym for free May 15-21
Faculty and staff members can try the fitness and recreation areas of Belk Gym for free from Monday, May 15, through Sunday, May 21. Employees should bring their UNC Charlotte IDs to present at the check-in location for this free preview.
Belk Gym will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m., Saturday; and noon to 8 p.m., Sunday. The facility features a fitness center, cycling and group fitness studios, basketball and racquetball courts, swimming pool and locker rooms.
Internal auditors adhere to professional standards, responsibilities
To those outside the profession, internal auditors may appear to have their own way in which they work.
However, internal auditors are required to follow the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), which is a set of standards promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Cone Visitor Deck to close temporarily
Cone Visitor Deck will be closed from Monday, May 8, through Friday, June 2, to upgrade parking equipment.
Cone Deck 1 entrance (on the Lot 7/Belk Gym side) will be open for visitors to use; signage will provide directions.
Visitors will use ParkMobile to pay for parking (instructions will be in the deck). Visitors who have validated tickets should place the voucher on the car dash.
Lot 30 (between Reese Building and Cone University Center) will have temporary visitor disability spaces.
