New social media policy approved

On Sept. 28, the new University Policy 317, Social Media Policy, was established to minimize risk, streamline brand identity and account management and better equip the UNC Charlotte social media network for the growing number of issues management that occur on University-affiliated social media channels.

Nominees sought for 2021 Teaching Excellence Awards

The Teaching Excellence Selection Committee for the 2021 Bank of America Award for Teaching Excellence and the UNC Charlotte Award for Teaching Excellence is accepting nominations through Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020. These awards are two of the most important and prestigious awards at UNC Charlotte as they honor outstanding professors and provide an example of the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching.

Campbell needs shared leave

Submit nominees for 2020-21 O. Max Gardner Award

Faculty nominees for the 2020-21 O. Max Gardner Award are being solicited. This award is given annually by the UNC Board of Governors to “that member of the faculty of the University of North Carolina who, during the current scholastic year, has made the greatest contribution to the welfare of the human race.”Note that nominees can be of any rank, “including instructors, engaged in teaching in any unit, institution or branch of service” in the University system.

Nominations sought for Reynolds Leadership Award

Nominations are sought for the 2020 Thomas L. Reynolds Leadership Award for a graduate program director or coordinator who exhibits excellent leadership and outstanding service. Graduate program directors and coordinators are leadership positions for the University and play an important role in the success of graduate education.

Call for nominations: de Silva Award, First Citizens Scholars Medal

The Graduate School currently seeks nominations for the annual competition for the 2021 Harshini V. de Silva Graduate Mentor Award and the First Citizens Bank Scholars Medal.Nomination deadlines are Nov. 6 for the de Silva Award and Nov. 13 for the First Citizens Scholars Medal.   

Active Learning Academy provides research opportunities, new cohort forming

CRES announces updated on-campus meeting and event guidelines

Due to physical distancing and cleaning measures required for the UNC Charlotte community to return safely to campus, meetings and events will be significantly impacted throughout the fall and spring semesters.The following guidelines have been set by Conferences, Reservations and Event Services (CRES) and approved by the University to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and guests.
