ODU’s Ragean Hill joining Charlotte 49ers

Ragean Hill is the Charlotte 49ers executive associate athletics director. She is coming to the University from Old Dominion University, where she served as the associate athletics director for the past four years. She also has worked at Arkansas, Kansas State and Wisconsin.

Employees honored for program completion

Recently, the Office of Research Services and Outreach held its annual reception to recognize participants of the Certificate Program in Grants and Contracts Administration. To successfully obtain credit for the program, individuals must attend eight training sessions and complete eight learning assessments and seven prerequisite classes through Learning and Organizational Development.

Temporarily closure of Lot 26 scheduled

Parking Lot 26 will be unavailable from Sunday, June 16, through Friday, June 21, for lot repair and resurfacing.

Expect barricades and construction personnel in the area; remember to exercise caution when approaching construction zones.

Bolick needs shared leave

Deborah Bolick, Research and Economic Development, needs shared leave donations. The Benefits Office will accept donations through June 20.

To contribute leave, faculty and staff should refer to the requirements and participant forms in Personnel Information Memorandum (PIM) 29 or in the literature racks outside of the Benefits Office, King Building, Room 207. World Affairs Council of Charlotte recognizes Gallegos

Joël Gallegos, assistant provost for international programs, recently received the Harold P. Josephson Award from the World Affairs Council of Charlotte.

Re-striping of Union Deck scheduled

Between Sunday, June 9, and Friday, June 14, areas of the Union Deck will be closed temporarily to emable the re-striping of parking spaces.

Expect work crews and equipment throughout the deck; remember to exercise caution when approaching work areas.

EAP counselors will be on campus in June

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselor from ComPsych will be onsite one day each week during the month of June to meet with employees.

Services will be available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 7, 14, 20 and 28, in King Building, Room 201A. Appointments are not required.

Lot 20 to close temporarily

Beginning Monday, June 3, Parking Lot 20 will be closed for revitalization, which includes ADA improvements and paving.

Expect pedestrian redirection due to construction fencing and construction noise and traffic. Exercise caution when approaching construction zones.

This work is expected to be completed by Friday, July 26.
