Betterson needs shared leave
Tangia Betterson, Office of the Provost, needs shared leave donations. The Benefits Office will accept donations through June 25.

Possible telephone scam targeting health plan subscribers
The North Carolina State Health Plan (SHP) has been notified of a possible telephone scam involving plan subscribers. A few state employees have reported receiving telephone calls on their cell or home numbers from a person who states they are calling to verify the subscriber’s medical records with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC).
New parking rates, remote parking for commuters announced
Parking permits for the 2018-19 academic year will be on sale at mypark.charlotte.edu beginning Sunday, July 1, and will reflect a 3 percent rate increase, the first since 2013. The increase, approved by the University’s Board of Trustees, changes the cost of a regular, annual permit from $450 to $465.

RSVP for annual Ice Cream Social
The Division of Business Affairs will sponsor its annual campus-wide ice cream social from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, June 22, in the Cone University Center, After Hours Lounge.
During this free event for faculty and staff members, vanilla and chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup, strawberry topping, whipped cream, chopped nuts and cherries will be served while quantities last. Ice water also will be available.

Craver Road to close temporarily to through traffic
Craver Road will be closed to through traffic until June 28 for work related to the new science building.
During this time, Library Lane access will be from the Cameron Boulevard side of Craver. To access Parking Lot 16A or Facilities Drive, enter Craver Road from Mary Alexander Road.
Lot 11A to close temporarily
Lot 11A, located near the Student Health Center, will be closed for maintenance starting Monday, June 11.
Expect barricades and construction equipment and personnel during this project, which is scheduled through Friday, June 15.
Exercise caution when approaching construction zones.
Sidewalk closure along Craver Road scheduled
The sidewalk along the north side of Craver Road at the Facilities Operations/Parking Services Building will be closed from Thursday, June 7, through Friday, June 22, to install a new electric duct bank as part of the construction of the new science building.
There will be no passage allowed along the sidewalk, and egress from the Facilities Operations/Parking Services Building will be blocked.
A temporary walking path from Lot 16A to Lot 16 will remain open.
Remember to exercise caution when approaching construction areas.
Nominations accepted for Staff Council
The UNC Charlotte Staff Council is accepting nominations for the positions of chair, vice chair, communications officer and even-numbered area representatives and alternates. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, June 15.
Asphalt repairs to occur across campus
Between Tuesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 7, workers will be on campus to repair asphalt at multiple locations.
Paving equipment and construction personnel will be present at various times along Craver Road, Cameron Boulevard, Poplar Terrace Drive, Van Landingham Road and Mary Alexander Road.
Stay alert, and exercise caution when approaching construction areas.
