University moving to Condition 1 at 1 p.m., Feb. 20

As a result of expected adverse winter weather, the University will move to Condition 1 (reduced operations) effective 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, until 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 21.

Register for ‘Film Screen with a Dean’

Fatma Mili, dean of the College of Computing and Informatics, will participate in a panel discussion related to the film, “The Great Hack,” from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Cone University Center, McKnight Hall.A screening of the “The Great Hack,” a documentary about the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal, precedes the panel discussion, which will address how data is, and can be, weaponized for political gain.

Counterterrorism expert to address ‘Is America Winning?’

Lt. Gen. Michael Nagata, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center, will present “Is America Winning?” at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, as part of the spring 2020 International Speaker Series.Nagata assumed the position of director, Directorate of Strategic Operational Planning at the National Counterterrorism Center, on May 13, 2016. Previously, he was commander, Special Operations Command Central, a sub-unified command of the U.S. Central Command, from June 2013 to October 2015.
