Rollins named director of financial aid
Elizabeth Rollins recently joined UNC Charlotte as the director of financial aid. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the field of higher education financial aid.
In undertaking this role, Rollins plans to streamline financial aid processes within the office, and she said she plans to implement a “more holistic approach to customer service, ensuring the financial aid staff provides a positive experience during every meeting with students and/or parents.”
She also plans on developing more outreach and collaboration within the University community. “I look forward to establishing new relationships and building rapport with my fellow faculty and staff.”
Prior to UNC Charlotte, Rollins served seven years as the manager of compliance and quality assurance at Rutgers University, where she oversaw policies and procedures related to financial aid across three regional campuses. She also was the point person for all policy-related questions, team-lead on all A133 audits, administrator of the Quality Assurance Program, implementer of financial aid awareness campaigns and developer of satisfactory academic progress standards.
Before Rutgers, Rollins was director of financial aid at Seton Hall University. She earned a Master of Business Administration in Information Systems from Saint Peter’s College; her bachelor’s degrees in English and History are from William Paterson University.
