Spring football game under the lights Saturday
The Charlotte 49ers 2015 Green-White Spring Game will start at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at Jerry Richardson Stadium. The game will wrap up the 2015 spring practice season under head coach Brad Lambert.
It also will be the first game played under stadium lights added earlier this year. The lights will allow more flexibility in scheduling game times and make the Charlotte 49ers available for greater television exposure through Conference USA’s television package, according to officials with the Charlotte 49ers.
Tickets are $10 each for the April 18 game and available for purchase at Charlotte49ers.com or by calling the 49ers Athletic Ticket Office at 704-687-4949. Fans can purchase tickets at Richardson Stadium on the day of the event. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.; parking for the spring game is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans are encouraged to park in Gold Lot 23, Black Lot 19, Green CRI 2 Lot, Green CRI 3 Lot and Orange CRI Deck. Click the event parking link for more information.
The Charlotte 49ers return 16 starters from the 2014 season, which was the 49ers last as an FCS independent. After spending the school’s first two years in the FCS, Charlotte makes the leap to FBS play as a member of Conference USA in fall 2015.
