The “49ers Uptown Live,” the official coaches’ show, will again broadcast from Blackfinn Ameripub, located in the Epicentre in Uptown Charlotte. The first show of the 2015-16 school year will be at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31.

Hosted by Matt Swierad, “49ers Uptown Live” will feature weekly appearances by head football coach Brad Lambert or men’s head basketball coach Mark Price, along with guest appearances by other coaches, players and Athletic Department officials. Swierad is the voice of the 49ers for football and basketball.

Each week, Swierad and the coaches will discuss the games played and look ahead to the coming contests. In addition, a special weekly segment will announce the 49ers Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by OrthoCarolina.

“49ers Uptown Live” will be broadcast on WBCN (1660 AM) and will be available via the TuneIn Radio app on the Charlotte IMG Sports Network. The show will broadcast weekly from 7 to 8 p.m., Mondays, unless schedule conflicts force a change. The show schedule will be posted online at charlotte49ers.com.

Charlotte 49ers Director of Athletics Judy Rose said, “We are excited to once again bring our coaches’ shows to Uptown Charlotte. Our fans and alumni asked us to bring the show into the city, and they have responded in a very positive way to our broadcasts from Blackfinn. We are grateful to Blackfinn for hosting us and look forward to another great year of 49ers athletics.”

Each week, Blackfinn will offer free appetizers to Charlotte 49ers fans who bring in a ticket stub from the previous week.

The Charlotte 49ers football program will enter its inaugural season as a member of Conference USA. The 49ers’ other 16 sports have competed in Conference USA for the past two years.
