Faculty/Staff Nights open Charlotte 49ers basketball seasons

Employees can kick off the season with four free admission tickets to games as the Charlotte 49ers open the Mark Price era of men’s basketball. Games included in this deal are the men’s exhibition match at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, and the Opening Day Doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 13, when the women face Ball State at 5:30 p.m. and the men take on Elon at 8:30 p.m. The first 2,500 fans in attendance on Opening Day will receive a commemorative Mark Price jersey T-shirt.

At halftime of the exhibition game, the faculty and staff team, which includes 49ers women’s basketball head coach Cara Consuegra, will take on the student team in the annual Faculty/Staff vs. Students Basketball Game.

UNC Charlotte faculty and staff members can pick up their free tickets for these upcoming games at the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Ticket Office, located at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. A valid UNC Charlotte ID must be presented at ticket pick up.

Season and single game tickets for both the 49ers men and women are on sale now.
