Condensing research for a three-minute pitch
During the annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, graduate students have to summarize extensive and complex research or scholarship into a brief, compelling presentation that anyone can understand—in three minutes.
This year’s event will be at 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, in Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room. Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite presenters alongside the panel of judges.
The first 3MT competition was held in 2008 with 160 University of Queensland research students competing. Since then, the competition has spread to 350 universities across 18 countries.
