Beginning with the 2024-25 academic year, UNC Charlotte will move to a professional advisor model for all undergraduate students with the addition of 21 new positions. 

“Professional advising for undergraduate students is one significant lever in creating optimal conditions for academic success,” said Jennifer Troyer, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs. “All undergraduate students will be assigned a professional advisor who will be fully dedicated to helping them complete their degrees in a timely manner.”

In-state tuition remains flat for 8th consecutive year for in-state undergraduates

UNC Charlotte’s tuition will remain unchanged for resident undergraduate students for the eighth consecutive year. Additionally, fees have been adjusted to result in an overall net decrease of $5 for all students. The UNC Board of Governors approved the tuition and fee schedule Thursday, Feb. 29.

UNC Charlotte and Stanly Community College have joined forces to pioneer the inaugural OnRamp to Charlotte Online agreement, a partnership tailored to support working adult students seeking a flexible online pathway from associate degree to bachelor’s degree.

This collaboration builds upon the foundation of the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, facilitating seamless information exchange between institutions.
