Real estate student bikes across country, helps build affordable housing
This fall, Michael Maynard will be a Master of Science in Real Estate student, but this summer, he explored urban planning from coast to coast – on his bike.
Maynard is an incoming graduate student who participated in Bike and Build, a national group that organizes cross-country bicycle trips to benefit affordable housing groups.
Belk college professor to guest on July 23 ‘Live Wire’
Jack Cathey, an associate professor and Master of Accountancy program director, and Mike McNamara, partner at GreerWalker, will be guests on the July 23 edition of “The Live Wire,” Inside UNC Charlotte’s streaming webcast that airs at 2 p.m. Cathey will share information about the master’s program, and McNamara will describe GreerWalker’s partnership with the University and why he recruits from the accounting programs.
Godfrey to be honored at CFO of the Year Awards
Accounting Professor L. Howard Godfrey is being honored by the Charlotte business community for his academic leadership and legacy. He will receive the first Academic Leadership Award during the Charlotte Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Awards July 22.

David Goldfield, Robert Lee Bailey Professor of History, and Julia Robinson, associate professor of religious studies, will be guests on the July 2 edition of “The Live Wire,” Inside UNC Charlotte’s streaming webcast.
