Tuition waiver process now online
The Human Resources Department, in partnership with ITS and other campus units, has launched a new, fully online workflow for the tuition waiver program.
Eligible full-time, permanent faculty and staff members can take up to three free courses a year from any of the 17 schools within the UNC system. Courses can be to earn a degree or simply pursue intellectual interests.

26 staff members nominated for Employee of the Year
The Human Resources Department received 26 nominations for the 2018 Employee of the Year in the categories of devotion to duty, human relations, innovation, community/public service and safety/heroism.

Devotion to Duty
RecycleMania event to collect e-waste and medications for disposal
Members of the campus community can properly dispose of unwanted electronics (e-waste) and medications between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Friday, March 2, in Parking Lot 5A.
This collection event is part of the University’s participation in the RecycleMania tournament, which ends March 31. All items collected will be included in final results submitted to the competition.

Temporary lane closure scheduled along Cameron Boulevard
A temporary closure of the eastbound lane of Cameron Boulevard in front of Wallis Hall is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Jan. 26.
Workers will complete asphalt patching along the new concrete curb and the bus pull-off. Flaggers will direct traffic in the work area to maintain two-way travel.
Exercise caution when approaching construction zones; expect construction personnel and equipment.
University receives finalized 2017 financial statement from state auditor
UNC Charlotte recently received its 2017 audited financial report from the Office of the State Auditor. The report again showed no findings related to what University officials reported, which indicates the strength of UNC Charlotte’s financial position and its internal controls.
