A town hall devoted to the implementation of One IT is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Salons.
Carney promoted to offensive coordinator for 49ers football
Mark Carney, quarterbacks coach for the Charlotte 49ers football team, was promoted to offensive coordinator. He will retain his role as quarterbacks coach.
Camps on Campus offering priority registration for employees
Camps on Campus is the University’s summer programs of academic enrichment camps for children and young people in rising grades one through 12.UNC Charlotte faculty and staff members can register their children before the public starting at 8 a.m., Monday, Jan. 27, by calling 704-687-8900. Verburg named director of athletic academic center
Mark Verburg is director of the 49ers Athletic Academic Center (AAC). Verburg, who is in his 19th year with the University, had served as the AAC associate director since 2012.
Lockdown kits now installed in most University classrooms
Chancellor Philip L.Dubois indicated lockdown kits would be installed in all classroom and laboratory spaces on campus in his Nov.
Hinson needs shared leave
Brandi Hinson, Special Education and Child Development, needs shared leave donations. The Benefits Office will accept donations through Jan. 29.To contribute leave, faculty and staff should refer to the requirements and participant forms in Personnel Information Memorandum (PIM) 29 or in the literature racks outside of the Benefits Office, King Building, Room 207. Faces – Alicia Bartosch
Alicia Bartosch ’05, ’06 MACC may be new as the assistant controller of compliance, but she’s no stranger to UNC Charlotte; the University has been woven in and out of Bartosch’s life story and family tree. Before ever stepping foot on campus, her Niner roots were already established. Her mother graduated from UNC Charlotte’s nursing program in 1975. Early on, Bartosch knew where she wanted her academic journey to start. UNC Charlotte was her first choice.
Nominations sought for 2020 Employees of the Year
The Human Resources Department is accepting nominations for the 2020 Staff Employee of the Year awards. Any permanent employee of UNC Charlotte can submit a nomination, and employees are encouraged to recommend colleagues for this honor.Individuals can be nominated in any one of five categories:
