Finalists for UCOMM associate vice chancellor to give campus presentations
The Division for University Advancement will host campus forums for the three finalists for the position of Associate Vice Chancellor for University Communications.
University Communications earns 10 awards in international competition
The Office of University Communications garnered a big dose of recognition in an awards program that attracts entrants from throughout corporate and nonprofit communications and the media.
The UComm team received 10 prizes in the Communicator Awards program, an annual competition that this year attracted more than 6,000 entries from top communications agencies, Fortune 500 companies and numerous nonprofits. Other higher education honorees included Harvard, MIT and Notre Dame.
UCOMM wins regional Emmy, CASE awards
Three staff members with the UNC Charlotte Office of University Communications (UCOMM) recently won an Emmy Award in the category Community/Public Service Campaign at the 33rd annual Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

Campus exceeds goal for #GivingTuesdayCLT
UNC Charlotte nearly doubled the goal for its #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign, raising more than $6,600 to outfit the newly renovated Cpl. Robert Qutub USMC Veterans Lounge with technology upgrades.

Campus community says ‘Bon Voyage’ to Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band
On May 31, 137 members of the Pride of Niner Nation Marching Band departed from campus to begin a journey to Normandy, France, where they will be the first university band from North Carolina to represent the United States at an annual commemoration of the D-Day invasion.
